Ascend from Eschachalm to the Kleinprechthütte, trail no. 774 on forest roads and mountain trails. From Kleinprechthütte briefly descend north and ascend to the Kruckeckscharte. Ascend eastwards to the Rotwandlscharte, then continue right to the flat Rotwandlspitze. Descend southwards on a mountain trail to the lower Giglachsee, which is visible from the summit, as well as the Ignaz-Mattis-Hütte. From the lower Giglachsee, briefly descend northeast. At a trail junction, continue right on trail no. 775 towards Duisitzkarsee; after a few short climbs, the expected descent to Duisitzkarsee follows. At the Duisitzkarsee hut, you can take a well-deserved rest. From here, it takes about 1 hour to descend back to the starting point, partly on forest roads and trails.
