The Reuttener Höhenweg stretches from the Galtjoch over the Vordere and Hintere Steinkarspitze to the Knittelkarspitze, the highest peak of the Liegfeist group. At the Galtjoch, the path still runs comfortably over meadow slopes, but then it leads into the rock. Exposed sections as well as climbing parts must be mastered. Wire rope protections and a ladder make the crossing easier, and hands are also a great help at some points. Surefootedness and a head for heights as well as some mountain experience are absolutely necessary for the Reuttener Höhenweg. The route can be started from both directions; on this tour, we come from the direction of the Knittelkarspitze, which we skip, and hike to the Galtjoch.
