Rammelstein

From the parking lot, follow the signs to the earth pyramids. From there, pass by Höllerhof – following trail 6 – up to the Gönneralm. Always along trail 6, ascend the ridge of the Grentesteig to the Rammelstein at 2483 m. From the summit, there is a magnificent view down into the Antholz Valley and over the western Puster Valley. Descent: This follows trail 6 northwards. Steep rocky terrain and rope-secured sections lead down to the "Salzleck" (2189 m). Then follow trail 6A down the western slope into the Wielen Valley, and then take the alpine road (trail 1) down the valley back to the starting point in Oberwielenbach.
