The road to San Gregorio is very steep and narrow for a vehicle and offers hardly any turning possibility. It is easier on car and nerves to climb on foot from the center of Predore.Tips and suggestions

From the San Gregorio parking lot, we follow the very steep mountain road up to the church (a short steep staircase leads down to the rocky ledge with the sanctuary). We follow the road to its drivable end. Two cart tracks continue further. We choose the left one (signpost Punta Alta, CAI 734), which leads steeply into a ravine. We ascend on a steep hiking trail in the wooded ravine and cross at a suitable point to its orographically left flank. A sunken path leads us to alpine meadows on the here free southern ridge. Through a bird catcher station, we hike up the steep grassy ridge on an earthy-craggy path in a direct line upwards. Shrubs and sparse forest now cover the summit ridge. The panoramic Punta Alta is a grassy dome with panorama rosette, helicopter landing pad, and bench.
With slight ups and downs, we follow the hiking trail on the wide forest clearing in a very wide left curve northwest down to a bird catcher station. In the saddle is a overgrown ruin of a church. Passing it on the left, it goes along the south flank of the Dosso di Brugo to the base of the free hill La Rolla (continuation to Monte Bronzone possible). We descend southwards to the Colle Oregia, then almost pathless on a steep mountain meadow up to the free summit of Corno Buco with a small weather station. On the flat southern ridge, it goes to the large metal cross of Mezza Torre di Predore (subpeak) with orientation rosette and wonderful deep view of Lake Iseo.
We continue along the ridge down to a farmstead. Following the road flat northwards, it leads down through several hairpin bends through the steep mountain forest into the ravine, which we do not leave again on partly concrete steep road until the starting point. If you follow the road downhill on the eastern side, a marked sunken path branches off to the left into the wooded steep flank and flows into the concrete road in the ravine, which we follow to the starting point.
