We leave the touristically shaped Pressegger See and hike southwest of the Mother of God rock and past Brusnbründl up to the well-preserved ruin Khünburg. With path no. 248 we go east of the Jhtt. Obervellacher Stand and southwest of the "Snow Giants", then partially very steeply choose a shortcut up to the Obervellacher Alm with the Laudinzenhütte. Shortly afterwards we reach a hiking junction with the Julius-Kugy Three Countries Trail and the Gailtaler Höhenweg 229 – these two international and regional trails and path no. 247 now bring us westwards, past the Möschacher Alm and Radniger Alm. With path no. 245 and 16 (from Golz: 25) we hike on a trail up to the magnificent scenic mountain, the Golz. SHORT DESCRIPTION:

    DETAILED DESCRIPTION:

    1. We start from the stop Pressegger See (572 m) shortly to the NW into a side street which leads us to the N to an underpass – we reach a fork and walk left, following path no. 12 to the W. After about 150 m at a fork, we turn half-right with path no. 17 and steadily upwards to Brusnbründl. West of Mother of God rock, now additionally with path no. 20, after about 700 m we reach the ruin Khünburg and make the 1st break, 2.1 km, 839 m.

    2. On the main economic path (HWW) and slightly ascending we ignore one path each to the left and right – at a hiking junction after about 2.3 km the two path numbers are replaced by a path coming from the left with no. 248 – shortly before we make the 2nd break, 4.1 km, 1,070 m.

    3. We stay on the HWW and walk east of the Jhtt. Obervellacher Stand and southwest of the "Snow Giants" – at SH 1,180 we leave the HWW choosing a steep shortcut north and make the 3rd break at SH 1,270 m and 6.6 km.

    4. We continue on the natural trail along path no. 248 steeply upwards and meet the HWW again – here we make the 4th break, 8 km, 1,520 m. We take the steep shortcut on the natural trail and meet the HWW again, which leads us comfortably to the serviced Laudinzenhütte on the Obervellacher Alm (5th break, 9.5 km, 1,676 m).

    5. Slightly ascending, after about 150 m, we reach a hiking junction with the Julius-Kugy Three Countries Trail and Gailtaler Höhenweg 229 – these two international and regional trails and path no. 247 now bring us westwards, northeast of Möschacher Peak to the serviced Möschacher Alm or hut (6th break, 11.1 km, 1,666 m).

    6. We follow the HWW in a left curve and then go right into the forest (marked) – slightly downhill we reach northeast of the unserviced Radniger hut the Radniger Saddle. We leave the infos and creative designs heading west, now with paths no. 245 and 16 – we hike partly steeper on a path up to the scenic mountain Golz (7th break, 13 km, 2,004 m).

    7. We partly descend steeply on a path with paths no. 245 and 25 to the Saddle Heads and walk on an HWW to Lorenzen Hochalm. About 600 m after the unserviced alpine hut with info board we leave the HWW half-left on a natural trail – it leads us, accompanied by the Julius-Kugy Three Countries Trail, gently downhill after about 500 m to the connection goal to stage 28: the Kohlröslhütte (16 km, 1,533 m).
