The normal route goes via the Lac des Neyzets and the northeast ridge. There is a hiking trail up to the Lac des Neyzets; afterward, the terrain is mostly pathless, but on the east flank from around 2800 m there are again traces and cairns. From the summit, you have the "greats" of the national park - l'Ailefroide, Pelvoux, Barre des Écrins, etc. - directly in front. You can also descend directly pathless over the southeast flank. This is more pleasant than returning through the scree to the Lac des Neyzets.
