Magnificent panoramic route in the northwest corner of the Dolomites with a wonderful view over the entire Pustertal
Follow a forest road (marking 3) directly at the pass. After about 1 km, the trail 12B branches off to the right; follow this. Somewhat steep uphill into the ski area of Furkel and along the edge of the ski slope to the last lift station. Through sparse larch forest, the marking 12B first leads steeply and then on a long traverse to the first viewpoint with a cross. The panorama opens up to the west as well as to the east and north up to the Marmolada. Alternately on the right or left of the north ridge, it now goes up over several rocky steps. Finally, you reach the southwest ridge and in a few minutes the summit of Piz da Peres (2507 m). From the summit, there is a magnificent panorama over the entire Pustertal! The descent begins along marking 3 over green pastureland directly to the east to the Dreifingerscharte. A long, steep scree basin leads downhill to the north into the forest area, and a long traverse – always on marking 3 – leads back to Furkelpass.
