From the charming village of Piovere in Tignale, we’re led into picturesque forests as we circle Monte Denervo. The highlight is the observation deck on Cima Comer.▶ In Piovere 01, it’s worth visiting the Church of San Marco on the southeastern edge of town before or after the tour. From there, you have a beautiful view of the lake. First, the route climbs along a wide road to Via Noezzo; from here, we follow the forest road (“252”) branching off to the left. The tour begins with a moderate climb; at the next left-hand curve, we follow the narrower paved road straight ahead onto Trail 253. Now the sound of the stream on the right grows louder, and the forest becomes denser. The path is gravel at times. After crossing the stream via a wooden bridge, the nearby spring offers a refreshing drink. You cross the stream again, following a shady, damp forest path to Passo di Fobia 02, marked by an iron gate and a beautiful view to the north. Continue on Trail 233. Shortly afterward, the private alpine pasture Malga Nangui offers magnificent views in idyllic surroundings. Further on, the steeper path across the meadow up to the forest edge is difficult to make out; many cattle tracks can easily lead you off course. Thus, walking on often muddy ground is unavoidable. In the forest, the trail climbs gently along a challenging path. Rocky sections, wild and romantic forest slopes, and consistently beautiful distant views of the Valvestino Reservoir and Monte Pizzocolo characterize this unspoiled part of the route. Soon we reach the Bocchetta di Lovere 03. From here, follow a wide road through the village of Briano to the inviting Baita degli Alpini di Gargnano 04, which offers drinks and snacks on weekends. Continue on Trail 232 through the woods, climbing steeply on soft, and at times rocky, ground. At the saddle, two summit trails intersect (left toward Monte Denervo); we keep to the right. This is followed by the final steep ascent to the summit of Cima Comer 05 (marked with crosses), from which we enjoy breathtaking panoramic views.Return to the saddle via the same path, then turn right onto Trail 35 and head downhill through a forest teeming with mushrooms. On the colorful flower meadow of the former Malga Premaur, the trail is barely marked and somewhat overgrown. Here, take a wide left turn, then descend again through the forest. After a right-hand curve, we reach the large clearing with farmhouses and the secluded Casina Piazze Chapel 06. From here, the route continues along a wide forest road, which climbs steeply for a short distance one last time. At the fork, go straight ahead, now on asphalt, steeply downhill toward Boldis. At the next junction (parking lot), follow the sign for “Piovere.” The road zigzags downhill past the ruins of the planned but never completed Boldis 07 vacation village. Finally, we rejoin our outbound route; turn right there.
