Pilatus is a small mountain massif south of Lucerne. Commonly, the complex around the Pilatus Kulm mountain station with the peaks Oberhaupt and Esel is referred to as “Pilatus”, but the highest peak is actually the somewhat separate Tomlishorn. This circular hike leads from the north in the Eigental initially to the panoramic terrace of Pilatus Kulm and then via a scenic ridge to Tomlishorn Widderfeld. At Widderfeld, the name is program; with some luck, you can observe ibex there. The ridge hike ends with a beautiful view back across the ridge hike at Gnepfstein/Mittaggüpfi. From there, it goes back over forest and alpine paths to Eigenthal.
