During the summit ascent, as well as the first part of the descent, you are almost directly on the crater rim of the Caldera de Taburiente, where you will be repeatedly surprised by impressive views down.
The summit of Pico Bejenado itself probably offers one of the most beautiful viewpoints on the entire island of La Palma.

For the descent, return on the ascent path to the saddle called "Rodeo" and follow a sign "La Cumbrecita" on a path that runs almost directly along the crater rim, going up and down. At a turnoff to the petroglyphs, continue straight, at the next fork also straight and follow the sign "Pista de Valencia". It gently ascends a ridge and then goes left over a small hill to a signposted fork, from where you can go straight to the summit of Roque de Los Cuervos.
From the summit, return to the fork and follow the "Pista de Valencia" sign downhill left. The clearly defined but unmarked path turns onto a ridge and leads downhill. After a flat section, switchbacks turn gently left. Below, the path joins a dirt road which you follow straight ahead and even a short distance uphill until you finally meet a "Pista de Valencia" sign sharply pointing right. Follow a dirt track about 80 m slightly uphill to a fork where you take the left branch. Initially slightly ascending, walk on an old track which soon turns into a footpath that runs flat through the forest and into a small valley, bends left there, and gently leaves the valley uphill again. The path leads to a track which soon becomes asphalted ("Pista de Valencia"). Follow this road downhill to a parking lot with an information board. Shortly after, a dirt path branches off sharply to the left, which you follow downwards. Where this path bends further left, a severely eroded path branches right, leading straight downhill back to the starting point.

LP-3 to the National Park Center at the turnoff from Calle Calderon to Cumbrecita, continue straight at the first intersection (turnoff to the Eremita de la Virgen del Pino) and at the next fork also straight onto Calle Valencia. Follow this narrow street (LP-3021) to the end of the asphalt, then continue about 500 m or two double bends on a dirt track until a discreet dirt path crosses the track. Here you can park on the valley side next to the track.Parking
