We leave the car in the parking lot of the Los Carbellares Recreational Area and take the road a short distance towards the Puerto de Tarna until we find a trail that begins with a wooden access and enters the meadows.
At the Esla headwaters, we reach a small wooden bridge that crosses the river and allows us to ascend to the track coming from La Uña and climbing to the Puerto de la Ventaniella via the PR-LE 20.
We ascend along the track, skirting the Castiello rock on the left, until near a shepherd's cabin.
There we leave the track and climb through the Vega de Valdosin until we reach the base of the rock. We ascend first via El Cantil and then through the Pedraza of Peña Ten until reaching the ridge.
The route takes the left side of the ridge since the right side is formed by sheer cliffs that make up the glacial cirque of the rock. A marked trail climbs along the top to the summit, where there is a boundary stone and remains of a mountain mailbox.
We descend by the same route, turning left to pass the two cabins marked with the names Majada de Polvoredo and Majada de Lario. Below the cabins we regain the track and go down via the ascent route.
