The Ucka - Poklon hiking trail starts in Opatija at Park Esperia. There is a bus stop and a parking lot there. Go through the park with palm trees or just to the west and up via stairs to the upper main road Nova cesta. After a few meters heading west (bus stop for line 35 on the return trip), turn right onto Ulica Antonia Mihica and after a few meters, following the red-white markings, shorten the way over stairs back to Ulica Antonia Mihica. After a construction site, the actual hiking trail OPO (Opatijska Planinarska Obilaznica) begins, marked with red-white dots like a via ferrata. The highlight of the hike is the old connecting path to Poljane, which ascends only slightly.

In Poljane the path leads past the bus stop, then through the village up to Sveti Petar. Above the Poljane cemetery, the hiking sign towards Amicici is probably twisted. In Amicici, the turn-off for Pecnik is very poorly visible on a stone. It goes steeply uphill to the A8, where there are new markings again. The underpass under the A8 is almost completely filled on the mountain side. Then there is an about 4m high brittle barrier that is insurmountable. One possibility seems to be to go along the A8 before the underpass along the construction site to the parking lot located west and from there use the OPO to the summit. Alternatively, the western bridge at Puhari can be used for the ascent.

The summit can be circled, with the southern part on the water pipeline road hardly marked.

Return options by bus are available on the way back at the bus stops Pohari, Sv. Petar, or Poljane. The descent on the Poljane - Icici hiking trail is also possible with connection to bus 32 back to the starting point.
