The Hochmuth is a beautiful mountain landscape north of Meran in South Tyrol. Hikers have access to a wide network of trails here, which can be reached in just a few minutes by the Hochmuth cable car from Dorf Tirol. Our route first leads us to the Mutkopf (1547 m) and then further up to the Mutpitze (2294 m) from where we enjoy the breathtaking panoramic view over the Etschtal and Meran. For a stopover, a detour to the Muthöfe is recommended, historic farms located on the southern slopes of the Mutpitze where hay is still harvested by hand and their own animals provide the food for daily life.
