The route leads right through the Adamello-Brenta Nature Park. The start and finish is Lake Tovel, known especially for its former red coloration. But even without this phenomenon, the lake is worth a visit: Surrounded by the Brenta Dolomites, which reflect on the water’s surface, Lake Tovel offers a peaceful spot for reflection. It is even quieter in the surrounding mountains, with the lake often remaining in view. The Adamello-Brenta Nature Park is known for its diverse flora and fauna, which is protected and preserved through various projects. With a bit of luck, on our tour over the Loverdina and d’Inferni peaks, we may spot some residents such as the fox, eagle, black grouse, or the ibex, which was reintroduced a few years ago. The brown bear, the park’s symbolic animal, also sneaks through the forests and mountains around Lake Tovel. The long route requires good fitness but involves no difficult crossings or critical sections.
