Our route takes us from Schattwald in the Tannheimer Valley first up with the Wannenjochbahn. Over green meadows with wide views into the valley and the surrounding mountains, we hike always in the direction of Bschießer. Cows graze in the pastures and we breathe in the fresh mountain air. Below the Bschießer, the path becomes rockier. We climb over scree and soon see the summit cross. Once at the top, we enjoy the great view over the Tannheimer mountains: Aggenstein, Rote Flüh, Gimpel, and Köllenspitze are in view. And of course the Ponten, which is connected to the Bschießer by a ridge path. We follow this path for a while on our return journey. Via the Stuiben-Alpe with the possibility to stop for refreshments, we descend back into the valley.
