Comfortable hike through the wonderful mountain world of the Texel group. Along the way, you will quickly find a place to stop, either at the Falschnalalm or at the day's destination, the Oberkaseralm, which you can reach quite quickly in a maximum of 4 hours. The Spronser Lakes form a fantastic mountain landscape, which, in good weather with the Dolomites in the background, should be the destination of every panorama lover. Those who want can spend the night at the Oberkaseralm (rustic hut with hearty South Tyrolean cuisine). From there, you follow a well-maintained hunter’s trail to the Hochmuth cable car, which takes us to Dorf Tirol above Meran.
Author’s recommendation
South Tyrolean cuisine at the Oberkaseralm.
Extra blankets in the unheated stable-like dormitory are also useful in summer, especially when it rains.

Roadbook
After the bus takes us from Rabenstein via Moos in Passeier to Pfelders, we first hike through the magnificently rustic village and soon reach a sign to the Falschnalalm. From here, it quickly goes uphill through the forest on a well-maintained path to the alm. From there, the path follows the Faltschnalbach. At the end of the valley, the path climbs increasingly steeply and reaches the rocky plateau of the Spronser Joch. From there, it goes past some small herder huts and many lakes down to the Oberkaseralm. There you can spend the night or continue on via the Mutkopf hut to the mountain station of the Hochmuth cable car (+680 m descent, approx. 2.5 h), which takes you down to Dorf Tirol. From there, you can walk comfortably on foot via the Tappeinerweg down to the Passer promenade in Meran.
