One of the most beautiful high-altitude trails in the Zillertal Alps. You can easily walk the Neveser Höhenweg in just one day, but you will still get unforgettable impressions of the glacier giants Thurnerkamp, Möseler and Weißzint.
The hike begins at the Neves reservoir near Lappach (parking facilities along the shore road). Trail no. 24 starts on the northern shore of the lake and leads via the Obere Nevesalm to the signposted Chemnitzer Hütte (2419 m). Now take trail no. 1 – the Neveser Höhenweg – first north, then west. You cross the whole valley and the many streams that flow down from the glaciers. The trail leads in gentle ups and downs to the Edelrauthütte, which lies on the opposite Joch. You then take trail no. 26 through the long Pfeifholdertal valley to the lake and along the road, over the dam wall back to the car park.
