Mountain route - Siplingerkopf

From the hotel, go right and immediately past the pizzeria, directly past Haus Waldeck and the old sawmill, and follow the forest path upwards over the footbridge. Upon reaching the Höhenweg/Zeitweg, continue right above the hotel along the asphalt road towards Obere Wilhelmine and Siplinger. To the left, the path continues uphill for a long distance, passing the ancient 1000-year-old yew tree near Balderschwang and Obere Socherhütte. Shortly below Alpe Oberbalderschwang, turn right onto the gravel path and go up to Obere Wilhelmine Alpe. Pass Wilhelmine and keep left, following the trail towards Siplinger. A mountain path leads up to the Siplinger, passing numerous rare alpine flowers. From Siplinger, head westward on the return path down to Alpe Oberbalderschwang and Spicherhalde. Once back on the asphalt road, descend past Alpe Oberbalderschwang to Hotel HUBERTUS.

Variant: From Siplinger, head west along the ridge over Heidenkopf and Girenkopf (only suitable for sure-footed and not fear of heights hikers). The route is extended by about 1 hour.
