Monte Zuccaro

Those looking for seclusion and solitude are exactly right on this route. The mountain tour begins in the picturesque village of Cavaglio-Spoccia. From this car-free village, you have a great view of the surrounding mountains. We hike through rustic forests and past abandoned stone houses. Once we reach the tree line, we look over beautiful, secluded valleys. We reach the summit via the old Alpe Spoccia. The hike along the ridge is only suitable for sure-footed mountaineers. The efforts of the ascent are now rewarded with a stunning panoramic view. The view ranges from Lago Maggiore to the Monte Rosa massif. We descend back to the starting point Cavaglio-Spoccia via narrow paths. From there, we once again let our gaze wander over the landscape before leaving the valley.
