We hike up the steep tarmac road to the last houses of Piovere. It would lead to the Cascate di Piovere, but we turn left onto the Sentiero del Tampa. A steep, rocky forest path quickly ascends the southeast slope to a junction where we follow the signpost "Monte Rocchetta" to the right. The forest slope leads up to the ridge. We follow this along the Sentiero della Cresta along the ridge up to a flattening. A wide path leads slightly downhill through the eastern slope of the Rocchetta to a junction. Here, turn right on a wide forest path up to the summit of Monte Rocchetta. The summit plateau is just after the wooded highest point and offers a beautiful panoramic view of Lake Garda.
We continue along the narrow path at the edge of the drop, thus circumnavigating the summit and soon rejoin the final ascent path. We follow it along the southern ridge down to its junction. To the right would be to Muslone, but we hike left on the good hiking trail Sentiero del Tampa back to Piovere. Along the way, we pass beautiful viewpoints.
