Fascinating and thrilling at the same time is the standalone, towering pyramid of Monte Misone. With its stunning 360° panorama, excellent dining option on the way back, and one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, this round trip is a dream! ▶ From the parking lot, take the paved path to the beautifully decorated artist village Canale di Tenno 01, which offers us an amazing medieval atmosphere and a lovely view of the Tenno Valley. After an individual visit, we follow the sign "406 – Monte Misone" just above the village, uphill through a shady forest path. At the fork, continue left uphill, past a cave, a small hut, and on gravel to Casa Bastiani with a distant view of Monte Misone. After Casa, continue straight on 406, then keep left at the following road and continue to the parking lot 02. Last chance to refill water! Then continue at the fork Sella di Calino half-left on path 412, which offers shade through deciduous forest and climbs well in serpentine paths with rocks and scree. This is the steepest part of the route. Next comes the saddle Sella di Castiol 03. From the saddle, moderately ascending northwestwards, now on the west flank of the mountain, always with magnificent views of Lake Tenno and the western silhouette around Cima Pari and Tofino. On a comfortable forest path, we soon reach a small rock outcrop with a breathtaking deep view. A short stretch through the forest, slightly downhill to the alpine hut Malga di Tenno 04. Although the alpine pasture is unstaffed, it sells its own cheese and milk. From here, follow the trail marks right. Continue half-left on path 401, then immediately turn right again and descend on a mule track to the idyllic village Calvola 07. We cross the village street twice, then follow marked steps to the fountain (church to the left). Turn right downhill on the street and at the metal power pole take the half-left path to return northwest back to Canale di Tenno 01.
