Monte Azzarini (M. Fioraro)

A beautiful, sunny ridge hike leads us to the summit of Monte Azzarini. The mountain, better known on the Bergamo side as Monte Fioaro, offers a great panoramic view. From the top, we overlook not only the Veltlin to the north but also enjoy a wide view of the surrounding peaks of the Bergamo Alps. The route starts at 1985 m at San Marco Pass. We hike almost the entire distance on a mountain trail along the scenic mountain ridge, which runs northeast from the pass height. On the way there, we also take the smaller summit Pizzo delle Segade, which is marked by a large metal cross. The final ascent to Monte Azzarini, at 2431 m, is sometimes very steep, but navigation is always easy.
