This physically demanding mountain route leads us into the southern foothills of the Latemar, to the peaks of Monte Cornon and Monte Agnello. The elevations are framed by the Val di Stava and Val di Fiemme and are – despite the impressive views – quite little frequented. The highest mountain of the massif is the 2358 m high "Schafberg" Monte Agnello. Seen from the valley village Tèsero, Monte Cornon (2189 m) stands out, with its rugged humps called Cornacci. From there, the view extends far over the Fleimstal and the Lagorai range adjoining to the south. The tracks are well marked but partly faint and very steep, so the summit crossing requires surefootedness and endurance.
