Roadbook
We start in Schießstandgasse behind the basilica. The first signpost "Radstatt" points in the Gosauergraben to the subway of the Westautobahn motorway. Behind the motorway, the path leads up a steep slope to the right. After a short meadow slope, turn right around a farmstead across meadows or along the mountain road to the Seegruber chapel. After the last house, turn left onto the forest path. We hike along the markings in the shady mountain forest at a moderate incline on a good hiking trail for a good hour up to the Radstatt rest area with the beautiful chapel, crossing a forest road three times. The route now follows the Hans Pabst Weg to the left, fairly flat along the ridge northwestwards up to the wooded summit of the Mondseeberg, passing through a small depression with a dilapidated hut.
We now hike down the western ridge in the spring protection area. For the first time, the view of Mondseerland is unobstructed. After the spring, we walk down a forest road to the first open meadows. At the edge of the forest, the goods road leads down to the first farmstead, the following tarmac road is followed through the settlement to a large farm. Turn left here and walk down a meadow path to the junction with a tarmac road. Follow it briefly to the right, then turn left onto a narrow hiking trail that leads steeply down into a ditch to the motorway subway. Then left on a tarmac road to the entrance and briefly down to Schießstandgasse at the back of the basilica.
