A good, occasionally exposed path but entirely on ice-free terrain, connecting the Vernagthütte with the Hochjoch Hospice. Already during the ascent you have great views of the glacier tongue and the glacier crevasses of the Kesselwandferner in front of you. From the summit, a wonderful panoramic view opens up of the numerous three-thousand-meter peaks of the Ötztal Alps in the tour area between Hochjoch Hospice and Vernagthütte. The Finailspitze, Weißkugel, Fluchtkogel, and Wildspitze stand out particularly. Overall, mighty glacier mountains dominate the high alpine landscape. From the Hochjoch Hospice, the route goes up the meadows where the sheep of the Schnalstal farmers have been enjoying their grazing rights for centuries.

Roadbook
From the Vernagthütte, about 5 minutes downhill to the south and at the trail marker turn right downhill slightly to the Guslarbach, over a bridge and now always heading south directly to the Hintere Guslarspitze. Below the summit of the Hintere Guslarspitze, ascend a short steep slope interspersed with rubble and scree into the saddle between the Mittlere and Hintere Guslarspitze and left along the broad ridge to the summit of the Mittlere Guslarspitze. A few meters back the way you came, then left south over boulder terrain downhill into a hollow and along a path briefly to the southwest until you reach the "Deloretteweg" (902). Follow this path downhill left to the soon visible Hochjoch Hospice. From the Hochjoch Hospice on the Delorette path towards Brandenburger Haus up to approximately 2630 m altitude. There at the signpost the trail (919) branches off to the right. The trail then leads without significant altitude changes above the Rofental. The route then gently leads north above the Vernagtbach, crosses the Guslarbach via a bridge and ascends to the left up to the Vernagthütte.
