Mindelheimer Hut

From the state road between Jageralpe and Adler, take the road on the north side leading to the upper hay huts on Tschirggen. Continue on the footpath to the stream, through the gate, then take a sharp left onto the steeply ascending trail into the ravine and continue on a gentle ascent to the upper Hirschgehrenweg leading to the Obere Hirschgehrenalphütte. Continue slightly uphill, crossing the fence for about 150 m to the fork in the trail; turn left and follow the trail to the Mindelheimerhütte until you reach the Geißhorn trailhead, then climb gently to the highest point (2,180 m). From there, descend to the Mindelheimer Hütte (2,050 m). The return route follows the steep trail on the south side into the Rappenalptal (1,530 m, 1 hour) and ascends again for 30 minutes to the Schrofenpass.
