The route leads through the so-called Lechquellengebirge, a limestone mountain range that feels somewhat like the Dolomites. The peaks are not that high, up to just under 3000 m; nevertheless, there are often quite steep, rocky and sometimes secured paths. The huts are also not very high, around 2000 m.
The route starts in Warth (am Arlberg) and ends in Steeg (Tyrol), from where we travel by bus back to Warth. Overnight stays are in relatively unknown huts such as the Biberacher, Göppinger, Freiburger, Ravensburger, Stuttgarter, and Leutkircher Hütte. Due to the varying altitude, the path passes through both alpine meadows and alpine terrain, where the karst mountains show all their fascination.
Along the way, many marmots and sometimes chamois can be seen. Also many flowers, including edelweiss. The area is relatively solitary and features huts with the character of "brown café". And all this relatively close to home.
