From the hut take the marked path heading south. First through high alpine pastures and meadows to the block fields at the lakes. Beautiful view of the mountain peaks in the circle of the 3000m peaks of the Gleirschtal. At the signpost near the lakes, a path marked with stone men or pathless leads into the rear Gleirschtal. Back at the signpost "Seenrundeweg" we descend to the Gleirschbach. The Gleirsch and Zischgen glaciers provide impressive water masses especially at the beginning of the summer. Once you reach the valley floor, follow the stream downhill and the waterfall invites you to rest. To the bridge at the open-back Hintere Gleirschalm, you pass beautiful fields with alpine roses and flower meadows. The ascent to the hut is a beautiful mountain trail with many stream crossings.
Author’s recommendation
Do the route at the end of June, then you can experience the magnificent bloom of the alpine roses.
