Lärchspitze ridge crossing

Between the deeply incised Krabach and Bockbach valleys rises the mountain massif of the Lärchspitze. The highlight of the route is the ridge crossing from Hörlemannskopf to the summit of the Lärchspitze. On the rocky, partly narrow and exposed ridge, some beautiful climbing sections (up to grade II) await us. At the summit at 2393 m, we will be rewarded for our efforts with a magnificent panorama over the surrounding mountain ranges. On a clear day, we can see the Wösterspitzen and Höllenspitze to the west, the Allgäu Alps to the north, and to the south the Valluga group and the main ridge of the Lechtal Alps. Large parts of the mountain route run through pathless terrain. Those with sufficient mountaineering experience and fitness often have the summit to themselves even in midsummer. The return path leads along the service road through the beautiful Bockbach valley, where you can stop at the Bockbacher Almwirtschaft at the end.
