Unmistakable
From Martell to the well-known three-thousander. Whether you come from the upper Vinschgau valley downwards or the lower valley upwards—the Laaser or Orgelspitze is unmistakable.
Access via Martell village to Stallwieshof (1931 m; inn; parking nearby). From there, always follow the good marker 5 on a footpath, moderately steep to steep through the forest up to the tree line, then over stony and rock-strewn grassy slopes, mostly quite steep, up to a terrain edge where the mountain pasture ends and the summit structure of the Laaser Spitze becomes visible. Now less steep, following the good marker and partly cairns over slate rubble and often also over a small snowfield, and finally over the rocky but well-walkable summit slope up to the summit cross of the Orgelspitze (3304 m; 4 hours from Stallwies). – Descent: via the described ascent route.
