Dreamlike route to a rather little-frequented summit with a spectacular rock ridge at the top, as well as a beautiful panoramic view over the Alpine foothills and the surrounding mountains of the northern Alpine foothills. The path is not too difficult, yet very varied despite its short length.
From Gasthaus Klausriegler, first go through the barrier onto the road and follow the road downhill for a few minutes. Shortly before a bridge, there are some hiking signs (direction Hohe Dirn, Hubertuskapelle); we follow this path initially. A cart path leads over a small stream and then across a wide alpine meadow to a farmhouse. After this farmhouse, the further path clearly branches off to the left; we follow this moderately steep path toward a forest section. Shortly before the forest, our further route branches off to the right, marked by a cairn. Here it gets somewhat steeper for a few minutes until we reach a forest ridge that leads us further to the summit. On the last section to the summit cross, sure-footedness is an advantage, as there are some easy rock passages to scramble over. Some rocks at the summit invite climbing around but require a head for heights.
Return is via the ascent route.
