Krapfenkarspitze

From Ridnaun / Maiern, follow path no. 9 to the dam at Sennerboden (Lower Aglsboden). Do not cross it, but follow the red-white markings left of it up slopes covered with alpenroses to the Horn (2,001 m, weather cross) (approx. 1.5 hours). Then follow the narrow trail along the long, partly exposed ridge up to the summit area of the Krapfenkarspitze. Climb up light blocks to the summit cross (1.5 - 2 hours from the Horn). A magnificent view and the certainty of having climbed a great mountain reward every effort. Now cross the summit plateau exactly following the markings. Descend a block and scree slope and always follow the red/white markings down to the Tüben Lake. From there continue on the trail marked 33. Cross the stream at Aglsboden exactly at the marking! The path goes below the Grohmannhut, after crossing the suspension bridge and a short climb, continues into trail no. 9 (ascent to the staffed hut approx. 15 min). From here, descend to Maiern.
