Refreshments at the Flodige Alm: https://wandernsuedtirol.info/tag/flodige-alm/Roadbook
We cycle along the west shore of Lake Toblach to its southern end and on the bike path between the Rienz and the east flank of Kasermutz to the Nasswand soldiers' cemetery (as a pure hike, the start is from the parking lot here). Shortly after, bike storage is at the small power station.
Here the marked hiking trail begins westwards into the Flodiger Graben. An alpine path is soon left to the left over the Flodigerbach. Now a well-developed hiking trail leads in many switchbacks over a forest ridge higher up. A rocky steep step leads into a long, forested hollow. At a fork in the path, it is possible to hike right to the managed Flodige Alm. But we ascend the left path in the forest with a beautiful view of Dürrenstein up to the saddle between Sarlkopf and Kasamutz. Now on the right along the ridge over mountain meadows and short rocky passages to the already visible summit cross of Kasermutz.
Descent along the ascent route. At the saddle, the left path can be chosen down to Flodige Alm.
