Karhorn Loop Trail

We recommend taking the Steffisalp-Express, which takes 10 minutes to reach the mountain station at 1,884 m. Head south below the cable car along the trail to Wannensee, then follow the path to the right toward Bürstegg. From Bürstegg, follow the road for about 300 m, then turn right toward Karbühel and Auenfeldsattel. From Auenfeldsattel, head right to the Untere Auenfeldalpe; turn right toward the Obere Auenfeldalpe and continue along the road to the Auenfeld Hut (30 min). Follow the road for 100 m, then turn right behind the hut onto the ascending hiking trail to the Salobersattel (Körbersee junction), continue to the road, turn left onto the road toward the Saloberkopf valley station, and continue to the Jägeralpe.
