Beautiful route through the entire Kaisergebirge. Physically demanding with nearly 2700 m of ascent, rewarded by fantastic views in all directions. There is always an option to cut the route short and descend early. Bring sun protection and plenty of fluids! Several places to stop for food and drink available.

Beautiful and physically challenging route through the Kaisergebirge. You get to know all facets of the mountain range, from wide hiking trails to paths through rocks. Several places to stop along the way, including Rietzau Alm, Vorderkaiserfelden Hut, Hochalm (only when the alpine hut is open), Stripsenjochhaus, Gaudeamus Hut, and Wochenbrunner Alm. If the route is too demanding physically (22 km and 2700 m ascent), there is always the possibility to modify it and descend to the valley via different paths. Bringing sun protection and plenty of fluids is very important on this route, as most of it is exposed to the sun. Those who endure the effort will be rewarded with several summits and impressive views.

Roadbook
The route starts at the Kaiser climb in Ebbs / Eichelwang via the stairs and the wide hiking trail through the Kaisertal to Vorderkaiserfelden Hut. From there the path becomes a trail and leads well marked over Naunspitze, Petersköpfl to Pyramidenspitze. From there you have to descend a bit and cross to Hochalm. From there via Ropanzen to Stripsenjochhaus. From here a descent via the Kaisertal or to Grießner Alm is possible. Those who still have the stamina descend towards Grießner Alm and after about 15 minutes switch right to Eggersteig and ascend to Ellmauer Tor. From there via Gaudeamus Hut to Wochenbrunner Alm.
