Our hike takes us to Iseler, a 1876 m high peak in the Allgäu Alps. The “local mountain” of Bad Hindelang and Bad Oberdorf is part of the Kühgund group and, together with its highest summit, the Kühgundkopf, forms the northern end of the Rauhhorn range. On our way to the summit, we pass picturesque alpine pastures and enjoy fantastic panoramic views of the surrounding mountain peaks. We walk over green meadows and repeatedly through shady forest areas. Sometimes the path becomes indistinct and we go cross-country. A stop is possible at the beautifully situated Berggasthaus Iseler Platz. Due to some rocky sections and a climbing piece, this route is only recommended for hikers with sure footing and alpine experience.
