Simple south-facing hike on a wooded pre-Alpine hill.
The south-facing ascent runs through shady mountain forest, is continuously marked, and adequately signposted. On the open summit plateau there is a rest bench and a summit cross with a book. The view is, however, limited by the trees.
Author’s recommendation
If you want to cross the Irrsberg, hike northwards via forest roads to the Hubertus Chapel, then right to Irrsdorf and flat back along the foot of the Irrsberg to Haslach.

We hike on the paved farm road, gently ascending through farmland from Haslach to the first farmstead of Höhenroith. To the right, a field path branches off, leading up to the edge of the forest (rest bench by the spring). Shortly afterward, we turn left and follow the markings on a rooty-earth hiking trail in the forest uphill. Along a meadow to the right, along the forest edge to the southern ridge, and then in a left bend over the wooded ridge with moderate ascent to the summit plateau with cross and rest bench.
On the way back, you can descend on an unmarked path along the suggested ridge (slightly left of the marked path). Then, briefly down the hiking trail to the meadow. An unmarked path branches off to the left. If you follow the hollow path northward into the eastern slope, you reach the starting point again via a forest clearing. However, we immediately turn right and descend relatively steeply eastwards without a path, entering a steep ravine that ends at a water outlet into the farmland. Return via the paved farm road to the starting point in Haslach.
