There are no wire cables on the ridge! Climbers should be able to cope with the exposure and master climbing at grade II safely. Otherwise, secure yourself with a rope.Tips and suggestions

Schöngänge and Bernadeinkopf
A wide gravel path leads south from Kreuzeck to Hochalm. From there continue past the mountain rescue hut to a signpost tree. Continue straight to the Bernadeinwände, then left over a small scree field to the entrance of the Schöngänge. Watch out not to start too far left on the difficult wall crawler path! In the Schöngänge, the route goes up over walking terrain and rope-secured sections. At the end, a longer ladder leads to a saddle beside the Bernadeinkopf. A detour to the summit rewards with a great panorama. The Hoher Gaif with its ascent route can also be seen.
To the Hoher Gaif
From the Bernadeinkopf unfortunately altitude must be "lost." Descend on the marked path (AV No. 835a) towards the east. After a steep step, leave the path directly to the west shore of Stuibensee. Continue straight behind the lake to a scree field. Climb up over trail tracks and keep slightly left into the broken rock terrain. Path steps, very old steel cables, and cairns help with orientation. A grassy section leads to the entry of the ridge. Now on the very exposed ridge, head right/west towards the summit. You mostly move on the southern side facing the Reintal. In about 30 minutes you reach walking terrain, sections are mostly UIAA grade I to the goal.
Descent via Bernadeinsteig
Take the ascent path to the Stuibensee (bathing opportunity!) and then up to the marked path we left earlier (AV No. 835a). The path leads parallel to the south side of the Bernadeinwände downhill to the east. Through alpine pasture, later dwarf pines, it goes into the forest. Briefly you can see the Kreuzeckhaus and the lift. In the forest the path turns north and meets the AV trail No. 835. Turn left onto the "Bernadeinsteig," which leads back to the Kreuzeckbahn.
