Mighty mountain above the Stettiner Hut

From Pfelders (1622 m; road from Moos in Passeier) on a wide path on the shady side slope (also possible on the sunny side via the groups of houses Zeppichl and Lazins) in 1 hr level to slightly ascending down into the valley to the Lazinser Alm at the valley head (1858 m; refreshment stand), then on zigzagging path 8 (partly shortcut possible) up to a rocky small valley and in moderate incline further to the Stettiner Hut (2875 m; currently only a provisional but managed hut with 20 beds. – Also possible in approx. 4 hrs from Vorderkaser in the Pfossental); from Lazinser Alm 3 hrs. From the hut then on the Grützmacher trail up to the fork (3150 m), now left on the new, partly secured route steeply up to a ridge shoulder, crossing the mountain flank on the left to the south ridge and following this up to a large cairn (3380 m). Now eastwards to a final steep section (secured), up to the narrow summit ridge and over it to the cross (3480 m); from the hut 2 hrs. Descent: same as ascent.
