Mighty mountain above the Stettiner Hut
From Pfelders (1622 m; road coming in from Moos in Passeier) on a wide path on the shady side of the slope (also possible on the sunny side over the groups of houses Zeppichl and Lazins) in about 1 hour level to slightly ascending into the valley to the Lazinser Alm at the end of the valley (1858 m; refreshment), on the serpentining path 8 (partial shortcuts possible) up to a stony small valley and continuing with moderate incline to the Stettiner Hut (2875 m; 100 sleeping places; also possible from Vorderkaser in the Pfossental in about 4 hours); from Lazinser Alm 3 hours – From the shelter now on the well-marked, partly slightly exposed but overall easy rock trail through the southeast flank of the mountain up to a often snow-covered ridge shoulder and left on the rock trail – partly over carefully laid steps, partly easy climbing – further up to the summit cross (3482 m); from the shelter 2 hours – Descent: via the described ascent route.
