From Hochmadererjoch, it then quickly ascends higher in very steep switchbacks. Sure-footedness is required here. You reach the first easy climbing section. It is recommended to take trekking poles (if available) over this first climbing section, as the poles will be helpful again on the steep and partially slippery scree slope up to the summit.
After crossing the last remaining snowfield here, it goes very steeply again in scree just below the summit. You then first go around the right side of the summit rock and climb the last 10 meters in easier climbing (up to grade I) and somewhat exposed to the summit.
