Simple mountain route from Unterwössen, district of Wiesen, over the Agersgschwend Alm and Hochgernhaus, to one of the most beautiful viewpoint mountains in the Chiemgau.
Most of the route runs on a wide forest road with moderate incline, which in the lower section can be shortened via steeper paths through the forest. From the Hochgernhaus the path leads over well-trodden paths to the saddle between Zwölferspitz and Hochgern; for sure-footed and fearless hikers, a detour to the very steep Zwölferspitz is recommended here. After a flatter section, the final, somewhat steeper ascent to the Hochgern follows. A broad plateau offers enough space to relax comfortably. This route is also suitable for dogs.
