Beautiful and easy forest hike to a magnificent vantage point of the upper Pustertal valley.
Take the Haunold lift up to 1500 m. There is already a clear view to the south-east to the Haunoldköpfl. The hike begins along a forest road with the marking 6A. The trail descends slightly into Untertal. There you reach another forest road that leads up from the Innichen wild baths. Continue along trail marker 7 to the Innichner Alm (Gemeindekaser, 1703 m). Continue along the trail and cross several avalanche gullies until you reach a fork in the trail. Now take trail no. 7 up to the right in the direction of Haunoldköpfl. Follow this trail without any technical obstacles until you reach the pre-peak. From there, the trail leads in about 10 minutes, somewhat exposed and with some rock passages, to the main summit of the Haunoldköpfls (2158 m). Descent: For the descent, follow the ascent trail back to the Innerfeldhütte – Dreischusterhütte fork (Mark. 7A). A natural forest trail leads in a long traverse into the Innerfeld valley.
