Long ridge tour from Daniel over Büchentaljoch, Kleines Pfuitjöchl, and Hochschrutte to Pitzenegg.
The seven-kilometer-long ridge between Kohlbergspitze and Daniel can be hiked in full or in sections. The section between Pitzenegg and Daniel is developed by an official hiking trail – at least theoretically. In fact, the trail markings are quite faded and the path is not always continuously visible. So, route-finding skills and sure-footedness in steep terrain are a must for this tour. The section Kohlbergspitze - Pitzenegg is completely pathless and more demanding – T5 – and not part of this tour description. Start and endpoints of the tour are well connected by public transport.
