The Gsür presents Adelboden with its impressively furrowed south face. The brittle flysch rock is not very resistant and this is particularly noticeable when climbing. Due to its proximity to the Tschentenalp cable car, the summit is nevertheless visited more often than you might expect given its alpine appearance. Like its much more popular neighbor, the Albristhorn, the Gsür also offers a fantastic view of the Bernese Alps, but in a much more exclusive atmosphere. The crossing via the south-west ridge over to the Furggeli Pass is much less popular than the normal route from Tschentenalp. Two towers have to be abseiled down on this sharp, exposed ridge, so it is necessary to take a 50-meter rope with you.
