From Grameis to Hirschleskopf and via the Heinzensprossensteig into the Roßkar. Further off-path to the lowest notch.
The tour requires sure-footedness and orientation skills as well as mastery of Grade II climbing in primarily exposed terrain.
An all-rounder in alpine mountaineering that can handle various terrains such as grass, marl, scree, and rock.
A GPS recording from the Rosskar was consciously omitted.
Start from Grameis on a well-visible path to Hirschhalskopf and further over the Heinzensprossensteig into the Rosskar with its waterfalls
Cave: Do not be misled too early by the dominant Grameiser peak for the ascent, as the terrain is often brittle and does not tolerate mistakes in time management or climbing in the rock.
In the traverse to the Roßkarsee approximately at the level of the Großstein over patches of grass and a gully to Grasschartel (2250 m a.s.l.) to the start of the north ridge. On the way, pay attention to red markings or tracks in the traverses. Approximately 30 m below the summit, a narrow debris ledge crosses to the west ridge. Shortly before the west ridge, make a sharp turn left, continuing upwards and traversing back a bit. In a short gully, we reach the west ridge in a notch. Follow this to the summit. Descent via Grasschartel to Rosskarsee and further over Plätscher Böden and waterfalls along the Roßbach back to Grameis.
My own time requirement was 8 hours without breaks.
Depending on fitness, season with residual snowfields, and other factors, this varies individually.
