Großes Wolfstal Rax

Due to heavy rain, the approach about 150 meters to the right next to the fence of the enclosure was deeply washed out and unpleasant to walk until just below the ladder. Having passed through Wolfstal several times before, I was surprised when I reached the ladder. It was new, made of galvanized steel with some stainless steel anchors. After the ladder, the next surprise. Someone had placed red dot markings, by which Alina went ahead, looking for one dot after another. These were first on rock pieces, then further up visible on trees in the forest to the right above the gravel-infused grassy gully. At the last marked tree, the gravel slope is crossed to the left to then climb a grassy slope in the forest towards the rock walls after a few meters. Now proceed right-holding under the rock wall upwards to several meters below a red gravel slope. There, follow clearly visible trails to the left over a small rock step into the forest heading towards Ebenwaldhütte. First continue flat along the forest path and then uphill onto the meadow with green poles. Using these poles, go briefly downwards, then further right, and above Ebenwaldhütte uphill to the cable car mountain station. Many people have probably followed the markings since the trail is clearly defined in the lower gravel slope and therefore easy to walk. The markings also have the advantage that one stays on the trail and thus the surrounding vegetated area is preserved. So thanks to those who took the trouble to do this work.
