Opposite the Pfitscherhof inn in Platz, we hike up to the Jaggelerhof and along the Überwasserbach into the forest. We cross the stream bed without a bridge to the right and follow the farm road into the high forest. The pull path narrows into a trail. This winds in many switchbacks up the steep forest ridge to an abandoned alpine meadow. To the right of a ditch, we reach a wooden hut, then cross the large cirque to a stream gorge. Here the marked path splits. We hike on the right side of the gorge over steep grassy slopes up to just below the overhanging rocks. Here the deep stream gorge is crossed to the left (unfortunately not clearly marked and somewhat tricky). We follow the steep gully first to the left of the stream, cross it again somewhat tricky, and climb on a steep, exposed sandy-rocky path out into the wide cirque. The grassy mats are replaced by slabby-blocky scree. In a wide left bend we follow a steep hollow eastwards up to the floor of the wide summit cirque. Southwards it goes over a broad slope to a plateau and then briefly steeper up to the west ridge. We follow the block ridge (often just right of the ridge edge) in several stages, partly steep and exposed, up to the south summit. The block towers of the now flatter south ridge are skillfully bypassed on the exposed east side, with balancing on the ridge edge in between. The last ridge tower is bypassed exposed on the right and leads to the sandy summit saddle. The scree-covered east flank is now crossed up to the nearby summit cross.
