In the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park, you hike through one of the most beautiful valleys in the Eastern Alps. Gigantic forces of the glaciers once shaped this landscape and here in the Hohe Tauern they are still at work. Experience the impressive world of the glacier forefield and its pioneer vegetation. The Salzbodensee, the eye of God, mostly adorned with a cotton grass island, the impressive glacial polishing and the Schlatenkees are just some highlights of the route. The total of 24 observation points of the glacier show route with the accompanying booklet (available in the guesthouse "Venedigerhaus" in Innergschlöß) make the landscape-shaping dynamics of the glaciers understandable.
