Follow the marking up to Geierhaupt and then back along part of the ascent path to descend to the right towards Liesingtörl-Schrimpfkogel based on a marking split (no indication present). At Liesingtörl, a small pond can be seen on the lower left. This pond should be kept in view during the descent to reach it via appropriate trails through the dwarf pines. This Donnerofen descent is not a problem for practiced mountain hikers, only the route finding is somewhat complex. The further descent to the forest road is probably quite steep, but mostly you are on soft forest soil. Only the return on the forest road is quite long and therefore time-consuming. From Ingeringsee first past the lake on the forest road to the Geierhaupt directional sign. Before the actual Saurücken the trail rises very steeply. Crossing the Höllkogel at the top is worthwhile. From Geierhaupt, descend towards Schrimpfkogel to reach one of the cirques down to the Ingeringbach. The somewhat difficult descent at Liesingtörl into the Donnerofen is recommended, from where you can see a large water pond below with a trail. Keep left around the pond, then proceed on the right ridge of the ravine on a mostly somewhat overgrown hunting trail to the forest road. Follow this forest road back to the parking lot.
